APW’s Coconino County Program Receives $13k Grant to Expand Outreach Aug. 26, 2022 The Arizona Project WET (APW) Flagstaff Water Festival Program has been awarded a generous grant from the Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) of Flagstaff. The highly successful water festival event is held each September, and the City of Flagstaff has a long-term investment in this program. Tier 2 Shortage Declared for 2023 – Basin States Fail to Reach Colorado River Usage Agreement Aug. 19, 2022 After Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Camille Touton’s Senate testimony in June, the Colorado River Basin states had until Monday, August 15 to reach an agreement to save two to four million acre-feet of water in 2023, or Reclamation would take action to preserve the system. Initial Responses to Projected 2023 Cutbacks from Upper & Lower Colorado River Basins Aug. 5, 2022 Following Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) Commissioner Camille Touton’s June 14 presentation to the US Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee, the Colorado River Basin states have been working to develop plans to conserve two to four million acre-feet of water in 2023 to maintain critical water levels in Lake Powell and Lake Mead.
