WRRC Announces 2024 Photo Contest Winners

The winners of the WRRC’s 2024 Photo Contest were announced yesterday at our 21st Annual Chocolate Fest, held on February 13, 2025. (We will provide a recap of the Chocolate Fest next week.) Because there were so many incredible submissions, the selection process was both a pleasure and a challenge. Garry Forger, Project Manager of the Condon Research Group at the U of A Department of Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences, captured a breathtaking image of the Grand Canyon’s North Rim and won this year’s "Best in Show" category. Our “Water in Arizona” categories this year included People/Pets, Nature/Wildlife (split into separate categories due to the large number of submissions received), and The Built Environment. This year, we included the Special Category “Borders” to complement the WRRC’s 2025 Annual Conference theme, Shared Borders, Shared Waters: Working Together in Times of Scarcity, and also added a “Water Outside Arizona” category to include several outstanding images. At the link provided below, you can view the winning photos for each category. We will also be posting the rest of this year's amazing submissions soon. We are proud to use these photos in our print and digital publications and to help promote WRRC events. The WRRC would like to thank all the talented photographers who shared their stunning work this year.
