TUCSON, Ariz. (Dec. 18, 2013) – The University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) has received a one-year grant of $152,568 from the Walton Family Foundation to support continued development of the innovative Conserve to Enhance (C2E) program originally developed at the WRRC and piloted in Tucson, Ariz.

Arizona Project WET (APW) was recently awarded a $150,000 grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust to support the Water Investigations Program (WIP) in the Phoenix Valley.

WRRC Associate Director Dr. Jean McLain recently spoke with WCHE Radio in Tampa, Fla. about her presentation at the Nov. 5 annual meetings of the American Society of Agronomy, the Crop Science Society of America and the Soil Science Society International. Dr. McLain discussed her presentation

Compile and analyze data using GIS and other appropriate methods
Assist in the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement processes
Assist in the development and analysis of planning scenarios using GIS and other appropriate methods

The new site highlights the many different programs and services APW offers, and focuses on its mission of developing water stewardship and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) literacy
