The WRRC takes pleasure in helping to connect our readers with important water news throughout Arizona. When you receive your copy of the Weekly Wave or Summer Wave, don’t forget to check out the “Water News” section for updates from in and around the state. In this section, we highlight news articles from other media outlets, government press releases, requests for proposals, recent research studies/reports, and other items we think may be of interest to our readers. This week, we are featuring a news release about Governor Hobbs’ signing of the recent “Ag-to-Urban” Groundwater Conservation Program bill, a study that found PFAS in 98% of tested US waterways, a report about groundwater level declines in the Colorado River Basin, the event proceedings of the 2025 Santa Cruz River Research Days, and poll results revealing Arizonans’ deep concerns about water, among other items. Additionally, we highlight upcoming WRRC-hosted and co-sponsored events in our “Events” section, new job postings, internships, scholarships, and grants under “Water Jobs & Other Opportunities,” and other upcoming water-related events in the “Calendar Announcements” section of our weekly/biweekly e-newsletter.
