In celebration of its 125th anniversary, Tucson Water has launched a limited-edition sparkling water line designed to communicate the evolution of the City of Tucson’s water stewardship in the Sonoran Desert across the past, present, and future. The commemorative cans, developed in partnership with Brickbox Brewery, spotlight Tucson Water’s long-range One Water 2100 framework, which emphasizes integrated planning, sustainability, and shared accountability for water resources. The sparkling water comes in three flavors: lime, piña (pineapple), and sandía (watermelon). All flavors also have a hint of prickly pear, a staple in the Sonoran Desert.

The three-can series traces Tucson’s water journey from early reliance on groundwater to today’s diversified and resilient water portfolio to future-focused strategies that integrate conservation, reuse, infrastructure investment, and adaptation. By inviting customers to encounter the Tucson Water story through a familiar, everyday product, the sparkling water creates a tangible, positive point of connection, opening the door to informed conversations about tap water reliability, infrastructure stewardship, and the public value of utility services in a rapidly changing environment.

As Tucson Water marks this milestone year, the sparkling water project underscores its commitment to innovation in water management, which includes communicating reliability, stewardship, and shared purpose in ways that build long-term public trust. The sparkling water is shared at community events, educational settings, and City of Tucson ward offices.
