Don’t wait to register for the WRRC 2024 Annual Conference! Please join us March 12–13 for an engaging program. Standard registration closes on Sunday, March 3. Standard registration is $175 ($115 for a single day), and we are also pleased to offer a $60 student registration rate. After March 3, late/onsite registration will be available for an increased cost. For those who cannot make it to Tucson, we are offering free non-interactive livestreaming of the event. In a fitting tribute, the conference is dedicated to the legacy of Dr. Thomas Meixner, who was a well-respected University of Arizona professor, leader, and water advocate until his tragic passing in 2022. Meixner dedicated his career to preserving the world’s most precious resource — water — and inspired students and colleagues to do the same. Day 1 of the conference will feature academic collaborations, Salt River Project initiatives, a panel of journalists, and a session and networking reception that evening. Day 2 of the wide-ranging program will concentrate on actions that increase water conservation and efficiency, make the most of underutilized supplies, and raise public awareness and knowledge about water issues. The program also includes keynote talks from Gila River Indian Community Governor Stephen Roe Lewis, Arizona Department of Agriculture Director Paul Brierley, and Arizona Department of Water Resources Colorado River Programs Manager Kristen Johnson. Everyone interested in the region’s water challenges is invited to join the conversation to share and learn about the power of partnerships and collaborations to help solve some of our most critical water resources issues. Check out the draft agenda and register today. We hope to see many of you in Tucson later this month!
