WRRC Awards 2010 Montgomery & Associates Summer Writing Internship May 5, 2010 University of Arizona student Tim Glass has been awarded the 3rd Annual Montgomery & Associates Summer Writing Internship at the WRRC. A junior majoring in journalism, Mr. Glass is a non-traditional student who returned to school after serving in the military and working in private industry. His special interest is photojournalism, and he has gained experience in the field by working for the UA Daily Wildcat, the student newspaper. Read more

Water Festival Season Sept. 16, 2008 It’s time to make a splash during the Arizona Project WET Water Festival season. In Tucson the fun kicks off on October 3 at Jacobs Park. Exciting, hands-on investigations will leave 4th graders (and teachers) asking for more! Each Arizona Water Festival incorporates two hours of hands-on, interactive lessons focused on: groundwater and aquifers; watersheds and water sources; the value of water and conservation; and the water cycle. Master Watershed Steward Program moves to the WRRC Aug. 12, 2008 The WRRC welcomes Candice Rupprecht, the Statewide Program Coordinator for the UA Master Watershed Steward Program. Candice recently moved across campus to office space at the Water Resources Research Center. She joins other water programs housed at the center including Arizona Project WET, Arizona NEMO and the Water Sustainability Program. Read more
Certificate in Water Policy Offered Dec. 12, 2007 Graduate students and working water professionals wanting to broaden and enhance their water policy expertise will be able to enroll in the recently approved University of Arizona’s Graduate Certificate in Water Policy. Earning the certificate requires taking 12 units or four UA graduate courses. Scheduling flexibility is a key to the program, with students able to complete work from one semester to two years. This is to accommodate the different schedules of graduate students and working professionals, the two groups served by the program. Read more
