WRRC Internship Application Period Ending
Monday, March 9, is the last day to apply for two internships offered by the WRRC. Both are open to current undergraduate and graduate students who will be enrolled at the U of A in the Fall 2026 semester. Any eligible student may apply for either or both internships. Students applying to both internships must submit separate applications for each internship.
The 2026 Summer Arroyo Internship: This intern will contribute to the creation of an issue of the Arroyo, the annual WRRC publication that focuses on a critical Arizona water issue. The internship provides an opportunity to gain experience researching and writing about water issues and offers a stipend of $5,000 to be deposited to the intern’s bursar’s account for the equivalent of 20 hours per week in 12 weeks over the summer. The Arroyo is an accessible summary of current information on a single water topic of interest for Arizona and the region, chosen each year in connection with WRRC’s annual conference. Our 2026 conference theme is Water for Tech, Mining & Energy: Pathways to Arizona's Future. Information on the WRRC Summer Arroyo Internship can be found at the link below, along with the application form and instructions.
The 2026 Water Outreach Internship: The WRRC is seeking a student intern to assist in updating information on its resources webpages about and from Arizona’s water agencies and associations. The student intern will be exposed to key state and regional water agencies, organizations, and associations and will generate content that assists the public in understanding the roles and information shared by these organizations. The intern will work approximately 160 hours flexibly scheduled over the summer and the position offers a stipend of $3,000 to be deposited to the intern’s bursar’s account.
