Water is Magic!

Water sticks to itself and other things was the conclusion that over 250 people came to at the Chandler Innovation Fair! From the shocking number of water drops they could fit on a penny to the number of paper clips they could float on a water surface, people learned about the properties of cohesion, adhesion and surface tension. Hamilton High School hosted the Fair February 21st and about 4,000 parents and students from around the area attended. Thanks to Arizona Project WET's (APW) Americorps team we are able to deliver interactive learning opportunities like this at community events.
Event participation continues a long-term partnership with the City of Chandler. APW program coordinators were out in the Chandler community delivering 15 Water Scene Investigations and 2 water festivals this year alone. Community partnerships like this benefit everyone.
