In the Fall of 2015 the Water Resources Research Center began the next phase of its “Groundwater Governance in the U.S.” project. A nationwide survey was developed in coordination with an advisory council from the Groundwater Research and Education Foundation (GWREF) and funded by a grant from the GWREF.

Next month, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is heading to Israel to attend the Water Technology & Environment Control (WATEC) Exhibition & Conference, Oct. 13-15. WATEC 2015 will bring together Israeli and international business executives, water utility engineers, political decisions makers, and leading researchers to showcase the most advanced technologies and water-use solutions from Israel and around the world. This year's theme is "Wisdom in Every Drop." 

On Sept. 12, the Water Resources Research Center's Water RAPIDS (Water Research and Planning Innovations for Dryland Systems) program received an Award of Merit at Arizona Forward's 35th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards in the Environmental Education/Communication category.
