Over the past five years, study after study has found that water supplies will become scarcer and more volatile as climate change, population growth, and agricultural demand affect temperature and demand, and precipitation and supplies. Conserving water will become increasingly important; unfortunately, the economic challenge of emplacing conservation while simultaneously  dealing with the increased costs of volatile water supplies and water planning has never been more difficult.

Liberty Water owns and operates utilities in four states, and serves over 30,000 homes in Arizona.

Liberty Water is interested in sharing the results of its investigation and analysis into water conservation measures from around the world. Liberty Water's study finds that overcoming the social, environmental, and economic challenge of water scarcity requires structuring conservation programs so that they provide measurable benefits to customers, companies, and regulators.

Liberty Water has conductedan extensive survey of global best practices for water conservation and has developed a framework for implementing conservation plans that achieve measurable and sustained reductions in water usage, while providing benefits and incentives to customers and water companies. The implications are profound - water supplies are becoming harder to manage, population growth continues, economic growth is poised to rebound, and the window to emplace the needed conservation measures is fast closing.

Liberty Water hopes to begin a dialogue that leads Arizona to adopt global best practices on water planning and conservation.
