The WRRC is excited to announce our 2024 Photo Contest. This year, we’re returning to the broader theme–Water in Arizona. We invite you to showcase your talent by capturing anything from nature and wildlife to industry and agriculture, including people at play and at work. It’s totally up to you. Just make sure your picture relates to water and it’s in Arizona!*

Use the theme for the upcoming WRRC Conference, Shared Borders, Shared Waters: Working Together in Times of Scarcity, to inspire your photographs.
One winner, one runner-up, and one honorable mention will be chosen from each category.
*"Borders" category images can be from any location.
Recognition
Winners will be announced at the 2025 Chocolate Fest in February (Date TBD) and winning photographs will be featured on the WRRC website. Photo Contest images will be used in WRRC publications and other outreach materials.
Submission
- Submission Deadline: Dec. 20, 2024
- Submission Limitations: Each entrant may submit up to three photos.

Who can enter?
- The photo contest is open to anyone high school aged or older on or before Friday, Dec. 20, 2024 (the contest submission deadline).
- For high school students under 18, permission from a parent or guardian is required to submit any photos.
Employees of the Water Resources Research Center and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
Submission Format
- 300 dpi resolution
- RGB color, Black & White, grayscale
- jpg or tiff
- Max file size not to exceed 20MB
- Label each photo as follows: Last name-first name-image number-short title-year picture taken-location (example: "Smith-John-01-Down-the-drain-2024-Tucson.jpg”)
