Community Forum Discusses Impacts of Water on Our Economy, Environment, and Way of Life (Includes Audio)
Audio coverage of the Nov. 6 community forum, “Sustainable Water for Southern Arizona: Current Conditions and Future Prospects,” is now available online. The forum was held at the Leo Rich Theater and was free and open to the public. It was hosted by the Central Arizona Project (CAP) and the Water Resources Research Center (WRRC), in partnership with the Southern Arizona Leadership Council, the Southern Arizona Water Users Association, and KXCI Radio.
The program featured an opening speech by Lisa Atkins, President of the CAP Board of Directors, a keynote address by Tom Buschatzke, Director of the Arizona Department of Water Resources, and a panel moderated by Sharon B. Megdal, Director of the WRRC.
