The Arizona Higher Education Sustainability Conference (AHESC) is the first conference to bring together students, staff, and faculty at universities, colleges, and community colleges across Arizona and the Southwest region to share and discuss best practices for incorporating sustainability into higher education. AHESC is designed to inspire and inform attendees to advance sustainability education and practices on our campuses, as well as engaging with our communities.

By choosing a statewide model, we bring a variety of perspectives together, create a collaborative platform to work through common challenges and key issues, grow a regional network to share practical tools and solutions that fit our unique landscape, and build mutual ownership in the development of a stronger foundation for sustainability education and practices throughout the region.

Our aim is to empower and engage Arizona’s higher education community and begin developing a long term statewide collaborative that serves all participating institutions and partners.
