WRRC Students to Continue Working this Fall Semester

Last week, WRRC staff and Designated Campus Colleagues (DCCs) gathered to welcome current WRRC students to the Fall 2025 semester and to catch up on what everyone has been working on.
Noah Rios is a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) and Peace Corps Coverdell Fellow. Noah’s project, titled “Multidisciplinary Approach to Implementing Green Stormwater Infrastructure in the Town of Superior, AZ,” focuses on building water resiliency, creating gathering spaces, and attracting wildlife in the underserved community of Superior.
Luna Falk, another continuing GRA at the WRRC, and Ian Cann, an Undergraduate Research and Outreach Assistant, will continue their work on the Water History Timeline and StoryMap for the Upper Verde River Watershed. With funding from The Nature Conservancy, this project aims to develop a shared understanding of key events in the watershed and to present the information to the community through engaging narratives, images, and maps.
Katie Marsh, an undergraduate student who helped draft the next Arroyo as the WRRC’s Arroyo Summer Intern, is now serving as a Student Assistant. Katie will continue working with staff to polish the 2026 Arroyo publication and assist with other WRRC tasks.
Thank you for all you do, students—keep up the good work!
