WRRC graduate student, Noah Rios, a Master of Public Health student and Peace Corps Coverdell Fellow, presented a poster at the recent Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Showcase. His poster, titled “WIFA Water Conservation Factsheets: Building Water Conservation Capacity in Underserved Rural and Indigenous Communities,” described the work he is pursuing with his fellowship. As part of his Coverdell outreach assistantship at the WRRC, Noah is working on the development of water conservation factsheets in collaboration with the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA). These factsheets are designed to help communities strengthen conservation planning, infrastructure readiness, and long-term water reliability.

The Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Showcase is a yearly event at the University of Arizona that features Peace Corps Coverdell Fellows. These fellows use what they've learned from their Peace Corps service to tackle community issues through research, service, and professional work. The showcase provides them with an opportunity to present projects developed through partnerships with local organizations and communities, demonstrating how Peace Corps values of service, collaboration, and capacity building continue to guide their work in the United States.

In recognition of his work, Noah received the Award for Excellence in Community Development from the University of Arizona Peace Corps Fellows Program.
