WRRC Director Receives Drachman Impact Award

On Thursday, April 30, 2026, the University of Arizona’s Drachman Institute for the Built Environment hosted their 2nd Annual Outreach + Community Impact Celebration to recognize exemplary student outreach and impactful community partnerships. Drachman Institute Director Courtney Crosson presided over the event and, as part of the celebration, presented honorees with Drachman Impact Awards. WRRC Director Sharon B. Megdal was among the awardees. She was nominated by Professor Brendan Shea for “significant partnership with our faculty this academic year and overall positive impact on our students.” The Drachman Institute is part of the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture and serves as a nexus for research and design projects that center around outreach work.
