Water RAPIDS Program Hiring Graduate Research Assistant for 2014

  • Compile and analyze data using GIS and other appropriate methods
  • Assist in the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement processes
  • Assist in the development and analysis of planning scenarios using GIS and other appropriate methods
  • Assist in researching municipal water resources management and water conservation options and preparing recommendations

Minimum qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in physical- or social-science discipline or related field with relevance to the position description and requirements
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS and Microsoft Access
  • Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
  • Qualitative and quantitative research synthesis skills, including ability to understand and interpret statistical techniques, models, field methods, content analysis, and comparative research methods
  • Ability to work independently and professionally
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse array of individuals and groups

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with spatial analysis techniques and watershed analysis tools
  • Experience conducting outreach and stakeholder engagement processes
  • Familiarity with climate change science and assessment tools
