Water RAPIDS Program Hiring Graduate Research Assistant for 2014

- Compile and analyze data using GIS and other appropriate methods
- Assist in the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement processes
- Assist in the development and analysis of planning scenarios using GIS and other appropriate methods
- Assist in researching municipal water resources management and water conservation options and preparing recommendations
Minimum qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in physical- or social-science discipline or related field with relevance to the position description and requirements
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and Microsoft Access
- Excellent writing, editing and oral communication skills
- Qualitative and quantitative research synthesis skills, including ability to understand and interpret statistical techniques, models, field methods, content analysis, and comparative research methods
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse array of individuals and groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spatial analysis techniques and watershed analysis tools
- Experience conducting outreach and stakeholder engagement processes
- Familiarity with climate change science and assessment tools
