The Joe Gelt Student Writing Competition

Sept. 16, 2011

The Joe Gelt Student Writing Competition for undergraduates in Arizona universities is now open for 2011. The Water Resources Research Center inaugurated this annual contest in Fall 2009 as a motivational tool to encourage better writing about water. Our aim for this year is to increase participation across all three Universities.

Prizes: There will be one winning article chosen from entries from each university, plus one grand prize, a total of four winners. The winning articles will be published in the Arizona Water Resource, the WRRC’s quarterly newsletter, beginning in the Spring quarter. In addition, the winner from each university will receive $50 and the grand prize winner will receive an award of $100.

Details about the contest are provided here .
