City of Phoenix Produces GI/LID Cost-Benefit Study

In June 2018, the City of Phoenix released a report on a triple bottom line cost benefit analysis of various Green Infrastructure/Low Impact Development (GI/LID) features. The study provides information for decision-makers involved with City projects and private development who may want to incorporate GI/LID.  The triple bottom line impacts of three case study sites were assessed.  The study found that features incorporating vegetation provide the more savings and benefits than other options, including concrete. The case studies demonstrated the large social and environmental benefits GI/LID projects can have over grey infrastructure alternatives.
