AmeriCorps Member Opportunity Offered by WRRC
The WRRC is seeking an AmeriCorps member to support our communications and outreach programs. This service opportunity is ideal for someone with strong writing and communication skills and an interest in water resources and environmental issues. AmeriCorps is a national service program that connects individuals with organizations working to address community needs. Members serve in meaningful roles while receiving a living stipend, professional training, and an education award upon successful completion of their service.
At the WRRC, the selected applicant will help communicate timely information about Arizona's water resources to diverse audiences. Responsibilities include drafting stories for the Weekly Wave newsletter, assisting with event publicity, supporting webinars and special events, performing editorial reviews, and contributing to a variety of communications and outreach projects. The position offers valuable experience in science communication, public outreach, and environmental education while supporting the WRRC's mission to inform water policy and management through engagement, education, and applied research.
