The University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) Conserve2Enhance (C2E) program connects voluntary water conservation to community action by directing participant donations, based on water savings, to funding for local environmental enhancement projects. To simplify this process, the WRRC has created the C2E Water Use Dashboard (www.conserve2enhance.org), a free online tool designed to promote water efficiency, track water use, and raise revenue for environmental enhancement. This presentation will showcase the Dashboard’s suite of interactive tools, as well as illustrate how these tools are educating water users, encouraging participation in C2E programs, and being applied at the utility and regional scales throughout the Southwest.

Dr. Kelly Mott Lacroix manages the Water Resources Research Center’s Water Research and Planning Innovations for Dryland Systems (RAPIDS) program. Prior to returning to graduate school for a PhD in Arid Lands Resource Sciences, she worked for five years as a key member of the Arizona Department of Water Resources’ (ADWR) Arizona Water Atlas project.  She has also worked with rural water providers in Arizona as the manager of ADWR’s Community Water System Program and with diverse interests from across the state as a constituent services liaison for the Arizona State Senate.

Brittany Xiu is the Outreach Coordinator for the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center’s Water RAPIDS team. She divides her time between directing the Conserve2Enhance water conservation program, and conducting statewide outreach and engagement activities on water management and policy. Brittany holds a M.S. in Soil and Water Science and a B.S. in Environmental Science, both from the University of Arizona.
