ENVIRONMENTAL LAW CLE
"Can Arizona Become Solar Powered?"
We invite you to join us at this year's CLE on Environmental Law on November 10, 2012, from 10am to 12pm, at the University of Arizona, College of Law.
The speakers this year will be:
- Peter Culp (UA Law 2001) - Mr. Culp is a partner at Squire Sanders' Phoenix office and practices environmental, water and natural resource, and federal Indian law. He has been recognized by Chambers USA for environmental matters and has served on numerous boards and commission related to natural resource and water law, at both the state and national levels. Additionally, he has published numerous articles on natural resource and environmental law, some of which focus specifically on Western water law and the Colorado River.
- Ardeth Barnhart - Ms. Barnhart is the Program Director for Renewable Energy at UA's Institute for the Environment, a leading hub for academic work on environmental issues. At the Institute, she specializes in the design and implementation of strategies for the adoption of renewable energy not only in Arizona, but nationally as well. Previously, Ms. Barnhart worked for AzRISE where she evaluated solar energy programs worldwide.
- Robert Glennon - Professor Glennon is the Morris K. Udall Professor of Law and Public Policy at the University of Arizona, College of Law. At the College of Law, Professor Glennon teaches courses on the Colorado River and water law, as well as others. Professor Glennon has written numerous pieces on water law including his recent book, Unquenchable: America's Water Crisis and What To Do About It (Island Press 2009).
