Arizona Riparian Council's Sustaining Urban Rivers workshop

Have you ever wondered why the Salt River "flowing" though Phoenix looks the way it does?  Why have some areas been restored and others are dry and barren? What kinds of wildlife use the river? What are the recreation opportunities in and near the river?

If these kinds of questions have crossed your mind, plan on attending the upcoming Arizona Riparian Council's workshop and get in on understanding more about the Salt River as it flows through Phoenix, the 6th most populous city in the US. What is its current condition, and what does the future hold?

This is your opportunity to hear the types of work and research currently being done. You will also play a part in identifying the data gaps and discussing how the Salt River could be different.
