APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The 2026 WRRC Summer Arroyo Internship

As part of your application be prepared to submit:

  1. One writing sample in PDF
  2. One letter of recommendation from a faculty member familiar with your writing.
  3. One CV or Resume (optional)

The writing sample may be on any topic, but it should not be a technical report.  Word length – not more than 1000 words (Applicants are strongly advised to look at previous WRRC Arroyos at http://wrrc.arizona.edu/publications/arroyo for style.)

You may upload a CV or resume, but lack of a resume will not affect consideration of your application.

Letters of recommendation may be either submitted with the application materials or emailed separately to seden@arizona.edu. Letters emailed separately should include the applicant’s name in the subject line.

The application form asks you to list water-related classes and other experience you may have had with water issues. Applicants should also indicate their familiarity with Arizona water, which is desirable but not required. In addition applicants while be asked about goals for the internship and if they have any additional information that would help with the evaluation of their application.

Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday March 9, 2026.  

We expect to have a decision and award the internship by March 31. It is strongly recommended that the selected student attend the WRRC 2026 Annual Conference (April 14-15).

If you are selected for the internship, you will be required to provide proof of U of A enrollment for the Fall semester 2026.
