APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
The 2026 WRRC Water Outreach Internship
As part of your application be prepared to submit:
- One writing sample in PDF
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member familiar with your writing.
- One CV or Resume (optional)
The writing sample may be on any topic; however, it should not be a technical report. It should avoid jargon and be understandable by general readers. The sample should be less than 1,000 words and should be submitted in PDF. Applicants are encouraged to look at the pages under the current Resources tab on the WRRC website at https://wrrc.arizona.edu/.
Letters of recommendation may be either submitted with the application materials or emailed separately to jmcevoy@arizona.edu. Letters emailed separately should include the applicant’s name in the subject line.
You may upload a CV or Resume, but lack of a resume will not affect consideration of your application.
The application form asks you to list water-related classes and other experience you may have had with water issues. Applicants should also indicate their familiarity with Arizona water, which is desirable but not required. In addition applicants while be asked about goals for the internship and if they have any additional information that would help with the evaluation of their application.
Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026.
We expect to have a decision and award the internship by March 31.
If you are selected for the internship, you will be required to provide proof of U of A enrollment for the Fall semester 2026.
