WRRC Conference Invites Audience Participation and Community Voices
As part of the discussion on water use in industrial sectors, the WRRC 2026 Conference program will provide opportunities for attendees and community members to share their perspectives on these topics. Following the overview of the technology, mining, and energy sectors on Day 1, Session 2: Audience Reflections will provide in-person attendees the opportunity to voice their comments and questions. Sharon B. Megdal, Director of WRRC, will moderate this session.
Day 2 of the conference will begin with Session 3: Environmental and Community Perspectives Panel. Participants in this moderated panel will explore how non-governmental organizations are engaging with the topic of resource use within the technology, mining, and energy sectors, including strategies for addressing issues. Panelists are Christopher Kuzdas, Arizona Water Program Director, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF); Kim Schonek, Arizona Water Program Director, The Nature Conservancy; Lindsay Rogers, Policy Manager for Municipal Conservation, Western Resource Advocates; and Anna Darian, Executive Director, Patagonia Area Resource Alliance.
